Shopping in the Hill Country

With the cooler weather, I usually get an itch to go shopping around the hill country. I am always on the look out for furniture or ornate salvage pieces. If you are visiting the Texas Hill Country, I encourage you to take some time to visit a local antique shop. We have some wonderful stores in the area. 8th Street Market is at the top of my list. This multi-dealer has been a shopping go-to for years. The store is huge and filled with old, pretty things.

The 8th Street Market is a curated, multi-dealer shopping community with an eclectic mix of architectural, industrial, repurposed, and vintage lifestyle antiques and art. Our extensive collection of unique finds are always changing!

The Comfort based store is rich with history. It was originally a Ford dealership from the 1940s. The roof was constructed with steel silos from the World War II era. You can see the exposed ceiling in this picture above. How neat is that?!

The store is already decorating for Christmas. I recommend you visit 8th Street Market for holiday shopping.

Isn’t this fall-themed center piece so beautiful? All the store displays are so pretty and well thought out.

And this tablescape…

Be sure to browse around outside. There is so much to see and rummage through. Garden structures, light fixtures, large salvage pieces.. and so much more. They have a new section too. Possible VRBO in the works…. The owner would not disclose but I am looking forward to the reveal.

My front yard needs these vintage street lamps.

Comfort Coffee Co. is also located inside 8th Street Market offering tasty shopping fuel a.k.a. coffee and sandwiches.

Go visit 8th Street Market! Contact me when you need a home to fill all your goodies.
